Since 2022, our Turkish gallery has been a vibrant hub for contemporary art, showcasing a diverse range of international artists and artworks. As part of the “To Collect Contemporary Art” platform, Collect Gallery is moving to Limnos Island, Greece, to launch a new annual project called “Limnos Land Art.” Each year different artists will be invited to breathe new life into the landscape in front of Keros Blue Hotel. For the first edition, we’ve selected Kalina Dimitrova’s Site-specific installation, “Tumbleweed”
Tumbleweed
The installation prototype is a group of local plants with an unusual approach to reproduction and survival. They overcome huge distances with the help of the wind and slowly enter new territories. When they mature, they break away from their roots and, unlike their static relatives dependent on insects and birds, they spread their own seeds, floating around the world. The group as a whole is called Tumbleweed, and it encounters thousands of pieces of human-derived waste, barriers, and obstacles, finding a way to overcome these to continue its course and survive. It is materialized as a sphere of parallels, meridians, and all sorts of chaotic vectors of natural or cultural origin, intertwined in an unbreakable sphere.
Stay tuned for our upcoming exhibitions and events as we continue to bring the dynamic world of contemporary art closer to you.

Keros Blue is a seaside complex, which was opened in 2020. It is located between two beaches, within walking distance of each, and on a 10 km sand strip, with dunes that enter far into the island. Keros Blue offers its guests a water sports station with instruction, rental, storage, and rescue. Our station is in partnership with KBC. The wind is ideal for our kite and windsurfer guests. The bay has a sandy bottom with shallow safe waters.
About
"To Collect Contemporary Art"
Platform
“For the collector of “old” art, most choices have already been made. For the contemporary art collector, they are forthcoming, they are his – difficult, problematic, sometimes false or wrong. He is a traveler into the future, where everything is still only possible.”
– Ivo Milev, “Collector’s manifesto”
Driven by the idea that contemporary art can create a space in our lives to better situate ourselves and our place in the world, and believing that art is accessible to all as a necessary part of our living space and lifestyle, our team created the platform “To Collect Contemporary Art.” Its mission is to unite more and more circles of art lovers, as well as to participate in the process of education and development of the public, through various partnerships, curatorial choices of authors, topics, works, special events, and publications all around Europe and the world.
